देहरादून (उत्तराखंड) [भारत] : Healthcare Education में Practical Learning हमेशा से अहम रही है। Doctors, Physiotherapists और Healthcare Professionals के लिए सिर्फ Classroom Knowledge पर्याप्त नहीं होती। मरीजों के साथ काम करने का अनुभव, Clinical Decision Making और Real-World Exposure ही उन्हें अपने Career के लिए सही मायने में तैयार करते हैं.

इसी सोच के साथ SBS University, Dehradun ने Experiential Learning को अपने Healthcare Education framework का महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा बनाया है।

 University नियमित रूप से Students को ऐसे अवसर उपलब्ध कराती है, जहाँ वे Classroom Learning को वास्तविक Clinical Settings में लागू करते हुए Practical Skills, Clinical Confidence और Professional Competence विकसित कर सकें।

इसी दिशा में University के MPT Sports के विद्यार्थियों ने Cricket Association of Uttarakhand द्वारा आयोजित 42nd Gold Cup Tournament में On-Field Sports Physiotherapy Support प्रदान किया। 

Rajeev Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Dehradun में आयोजित इस Tournament के दौरान Students ने अनुभवी Professionals की देखरेख में खिलाड़ियों को Medical और Rehabilitation Support दिया। इस दौरान 11 Athletes का सफलतापूर्वक उपचार किया गया, जिससे वे सुरक्षित रूप से दोबारा खेल में लौट सके।

Tournament के दौरान Students ने Acute Bleeding, Hamstring Pull, Calf और Abdominal Cramps, Ankle Sprains तथा Mechanical Knee और Shoulder Pain जैसी Sports Injuries का Assessment और Management किया। इस अनुभव ने उन्हें Sports Injury Management, Rehabilitation और Real-Time Clinical Decision Making को करीब से समझने का अवसर दिया।

इसी तरह Uttarakhand Wushu Association द्वारा आयोजित Uttarakhand Wushu Championship में भी Students ने On-Field Physiotherapy Support प्रदान किया। 

Maharana Pratap Sports College, Dehradun में आयोजित इस Championship के दौरान Student Team ने 100 से अधिक Athletes की Sports Injuries का Assessment और Management किया। Shoulder Dislocations, Ankle Sprains और Severe Contusions जैसी Injuries पर काम करते हुए Students को Competitive Sports Environment में Clinical Practice का महत्वपूर्ण अनुभव मिला।

Field-Based Learning को आगे बढ़ाते हुए Department of Physiotherapy के Students ने Ice Skating Association of India के Training Camp में भी 25 National Athletes को Sports Physiotherapy Support प्रदान किया। इस पहल ने Students को अलग-अलग Sporting Disciplines में Rehabilitation और Sports Medicine की Practical Understanding विकसित करने का अवसर दिया।

Clinical Exposure को और मजबूत बनाने के लिए University समय-समय पर Competency-Based Workshops भी आयोजित करती है। ऐसी ही एक Workshop "Taping Techniques and On-Field Assessment" पर आयोजित की गई, जिसका नेतृत्व Dr. Prahlad Priyadarshi (Batch 2008–2010 Alumnus), वर्तमान में Sports Physiotherapist, BCCI एवं Analyst, Sports Authority of India (SAI) ने किया। इस Workshop के माध्यम से Students ने Advanced Taping Techniques और On-Field Clinical Assessment से जुड़ी Practical Skills सीखीं।

Classroom Learning को Practical Clinical Experience से जोड़ते हुए SBS University, Dehradun Healthcare Education को अधिक व्यावहारिक और Career-Oriented बनाने की दिशा में लगातार काम कर रहा है। इसी Student-Centric और Practical Learning Approach के लिए University को हाल ही में Shri Subodh Uniyal, Health & Medical Education Minister, Uttarakhand द्वारा Healthcare Education में योगदान के लिए सम्मानित किया गया, जो गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा और Future-Ready Healthcare Professionals तैयार करने के प्रति University की प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाता है।
